1 Year Acne Progress Report!!!!

So last year in November I started talking about my skin and trying new skin care routines. I use to suffer from Acne and Broke out really badly. In the Past year I have been following my own Natural Skin Care routine and have been able to get rid of my breakouts!!!! This is my 1 Year Acne Progress Report.

In the first couple of months I started with a Mask that I would use a couple of times a week...
Then I started using Vitamin E, tried Almond Oil and Coconut oil....
I Stayed consistent and made sure I cleansed my face at least twice a day (In the Morning and before I went to Bed).

I started seeing results almost right after day 1 and then in the first couple of months I saw my skin start to get smoother and it felt softer. I was excited and started to get compliments, which made me feel good!!! I had been living with this issue for so long, I sometimes didn't feel good about myself.

I currently don't really breakout at all, well not as bad as before!!! I occasionally get little bumps here and there, but it's only when I don't wash my make up off right away, or little Hormonal things (which i consider that rather normal). I still have some scarring, but I know it will go away over time while still taking care of my skin.

I wanted to share this post, because so many people have continued to ask what I have done, and I hope that sharing this I will help someone else. Acne I know is an Issue that a lot of people go through and aren't really sure what to do about it. My advice is to experiment and don't give up on your skin. Nurture your skin and be kind to it!!! Make sure to Moisturize and drink lots of water... I know that help me out a lot. Don't over wash and use to many things at once.

I am not an expert!!!!! But, there is hope to having amazing Skin.

Here is a recent video I did about my progress and shared my first Facial Mask again!!! :)

Before (When my skin was at its Worst)

After
(I Change my hair a lot!!!! lol)

If you try any of my methods let me know, I would love to hear if it works for anyone else!!! :)

My Weekly Make-up Routine!!!!

One thing that I want to do as a blogger, is let people get to know me outside of just being a Model.... I am a regular person outside of all of the "Glitz and Glam"!!! Somethings that I share will most likely be a little bit of a shock and not typical, to how other models are. One thing is my Make-Up Routine during the week....

Honestly I don't even wear Make-up during the week for the most part at all, and it is something that I have become more comfortable with, because my skin has cleared up so well with my natural skin care routine. If you haven't seen my other posts, I will post the link of my last post on skin at the end....

I have been more comfortable now then ever in my own skin and have made a choice to be as natural as possible. I typically wear make up when I go out to special events, during Runway shows, photoshoots, ect... and for the most part I have so much make up on that I don't feel like my skin is breathing. Don't get me wrong I love Make up ( a lil too much), But I like keeping it to a minimum, and have found for myself personally that my skin has been so much more healthier and glowing. I have gotten a lot of compliments lately, so I feel like I am doing something right (Chuckle Chuckle hehe).

One reason I don't like wearing make up during the week, is because I work around Food when I go to work. Yes it is true I work a regular Job... I work at Sea World (Job #1) in a Restaurant, and I am around grease, hot ovens, ect....

My Weekly look consists of using Chapstick!!!! As long as I don't have Chapped lips, all is good with the world!! I also put Almond oil on my face as my moisturizer for the day and will use a Primer or BB cream that has SPF if I am going to be in the Sun a lot during the Day.

I love Burt's Bees, because it is Natural and I don't have to put it on that often

On a Typical day this is ME...
I want to be the Healthiest Me as possible, and part of me taking care of my Body, is taking care of my skin!!! I believe they are both equally as important. I am not Perfect, but I do make a conscious effort to do what I think is best!! (I am not an expert)

When I do wear make up, here are a couple of my favorite products.... I will do a post on them later :)
Milani Baked Bronzer
Flirt! Glamouflage Healer Concealer
Colorescience Mineral Powder
Black Radiance Oil Free Liquid Foundation

Here is a link to my last post on Skin Care...
I am not an expert... these are just things that have worked for me

Everyone has a different way of being comfortable in their own Skin and I just happen to be very low Maintenance.

How do you take care of your Skin? What is your Weekly Make-up Routine?

Skin Care - Raw Honey and Almond Oil!!!!

So I have been doing a several posts about Skin Care .... I have been way to excited about the things that I have been using lately. It's been working, so I have to share!!!! I hope this will help someone else :)

I did a previous post on Almond Oil and I have been using it for the past couple of months... I have also done a post about a mask that I started using with Honey, Sugar and other ingredients that you can find in your kitchen ( I will put the link to those posts at the end).

Since my skin has been staying clear (it's been about 6 months since I have had a severe breakout), I have minimized what I have been using on my face and decided to do a Honey Mask and use Almond oil as my moisturizer. I have been doing the Honey Mask for about 3 weeks and have notice that my skin has been getting a lot smoother...

I only do the mask 2 - 3 times a week (Honey is pretty strong, so you don't and shouldn't use it everyday)

Here is my routine when I do the Mask... (I do the mask during the day on one day and sometimes at night before I go to bed on a different day... )

First I start off by cleansing my face... I use Dr. Bonner's Peppermint Soap (I started using it last year, and fell in love with how it made my skin feel)
I use this Soap only in the day time.... ( I use Regular Unscented Bar soap at Night)
I rinse my face off with Warm water, so that it opens my pores
This is the Raw Honey that I have been using... I bought it at Sprouts and there is a smaller size that they sale then the one I have

Second while my face is still wet, I take the Honey and rub it all over my face (you can rub the honey on your face when it is Dry as well, but because honey is sticky... it is just easier for me on a wet face)

The Honey does tingle a little...

I let the honey sit on my face for about 5 mins, so that it has sometime to work into the skin.
Then, after the 5 mins I rinse my face off with Warm water, then Splash with Cold water (so that my pores close)
I let my Face Air dry after I rinse it, I stopped towel drying my face a couple of years ago, and have found it to be very beneficial in keeping my skin clear ( I know it sounds crazy, but try it... I know it's not for everyone though)

When my face is all dry (I have done my hair and finished getting dressed by this time) I use Almond Oil as my Moisturizer. You don't need a lot... about a dime to quarter size is good. Just rub it in!!!!
This is what my skin looks like after I am done... I use to have a lot of scaring a long my jaw line and on my cheeks, and it has been fading away. The Almond Oil and the Honey give a Healthy Glow!!! I love it.

That's all there is to it... it may seem like it takes a little time, but once you develop your own routine the time goes by quickly :)

Here are my previous posts about my skin care journey:

Since I have been taking care of my skin the Natural way, I have had way better results then I have ever had before. It has been so much better then using all the other products that I have tried. I wish I started this years ago....

I hope others will try it too!! Let me know if you like it and have seen a difference in the way how your skin looks and feels.

Skin Care Part 2!!!!

So I did a post a couple of weeks ago about my skin, how I have had Acne for years, and I have recently found products that have worked well for me and my skin is so much clearer now! It is truly an exciting feeling for me that I have been able to Finally have clear skin and not have to worry so much about so many break outs.

I have something else to add that I just started doing about a week ago.... How it started, was me and a fellow blogger were talking at an event recently about makeup, which lead in to skin care. We talked about different things that we have used and have tried, and there were a lot of similarities, and she also told me about a friend of her's that had the same issue as me and she used Vitamin E gel on her Face. I was very interested to see how it would work for my self. She told me about a gel, but I remembered that I had Vitamin E gel Capsules, and wondered if it would do the same....

I cut open a Capsule one night (after my daily cleansing routine) and rubbed the gel all over my face before going to sleep. It is pretty thick stuff FYI... After the first couple of days I noticed that my skin was getting smoother, and that the little bumps that I had were going away. I got really excited and I have been using it for over a week now....

These are the soft gels that I used. I purchased them from Target.

Here's what my skin looks like after almost a week of using Vitamin E.... I do have on a little make up (Powder and blush, but that is it... Oh yea and I did my eyebrows), other then that I broke out a tiny bit on my Forehead, but you can see that my skin is smoothing out.

I hope that others try Vitamin E on their skin as well, and let me know how it works for them! :D
