Skin Care - Raw Honey and Almond Oil!!!!

So I have been doing a several posts about Skin Care .... I have been way to excited about the things that I have been using lately. It's been working, so I have to share!!!! I hope this will help someone else :)

I did a previous post on Almond Oil and I have been using it for the past couple of months... I have also done a post about a mask that I started using with Honey, Sugar and other ingredients that you can find in your kitchen ( I will put the link to those posts at the end).

Since my skin has been staying clear (it's been about 6 months since I have had a severe breakout), I have minimized what I have been using on my face and decided to do a Honey Mask and use Almond oil as my moisturizer. I have been doing the Honey Mask for about 3 weeks and have notice that my skin has been getting a lot smoother...

I only do the mask 2 - 3 times a week (Honey is pretty strong, so you don't and shouldn't use it everyday)

Here is my routine when I do the Mask... (I do the mask during the day on one day and sometimes at night before I go to bed on a different day... )

First I start off by cleansing my face... I use Dr. Bonner's Peppermint Soap (I started using it last year, and fell in love with how it made my skin feel)
I use this Soap only in the day time.... ( I use Regular Unscented Bar soap at Night)
I rinse my face off with Warm water, so that it opens my pores
This is the Raw Honey that I have been using... I bought it at Sprouts and there is a smaller size that they sale then the one I have

Second while my face is still wet, I take the Honey and rub it all over my face (you can rub the honey on your face when it is Dry as well, but because honey is sticky... it is just easier for me on a wet face)

The Honey does tingle a little...

I let the honey sit on my face for about 5 mins, so that it has sometime to work into the skin.
Then, after the 5 mins I rinse my face off with Warm water, then Splash with Cold water (so that my pores close)
I let my Face Air dry after I rinse it, I stopped towel drying my face a couple of years ago, and have found it to be very beneficial in keeping my skin clear ( I know it sounds crazy, but try it... I know it's not for everyone though)

When my face is all dry (I have done my hair and finished getting dressed by this time) I use Almond Oil as my Moisturizer. You don't need a lot... about a dime to quarter size is good. Just rub it in!!!!
This is what my skin looks like after I am done... I use to have a lot of scaring a long my jaw line and on my cheeks, and it has been fading away. The Almond Oil and the Honey give a Healthy Glow!!! I love it.

That's all there is to it... it may seem like it takes a little time, but once you develop your own routine the time goes by quickly :)

Here are my previous posts about my skin care journey:

Since I have been taking care of my skin the Natural way, I have had way better results then I have ever had before. It has been so much better then using all the other products that I have tried. I wish I started this years ago....

I hope others will try it too!! Let me know if you like it and have seen a difference in the way how your skin looks and feels.

Skin Care - Almond Oil!!!!

So, I have shared that I have had trouble with acne and I started using more natural products. I have had a lot of success, and 1 thing that I use all the time is Almond oil!!! I'm sure you're thinking, isn't adding oil to your skin bad and will it clog my pores??? Well personally my self I haven't had a problem, and I have been using almond Oil for the several months now. Usually I use about a Dime size (you don't need a lot) amount as my moisturizer after I wash my face before I go to bed.

I found this video that I wanted to share from a Vlogger Hey Fran Hey, who uses Almond Oil as a cleanser!!! I always find it interesting when I have used something and find others who have the same success as me... that just mean that it's working for other people too, which is exciting :)

Check it out!!! She does give some what of an explanation how Almond Oil helps your skin.

Do you have issues with breakouts? what have you tried??

Skin Care part 3!!!!! No More Acne!!!!

Back in November I shared my Acne issues and shared my journey towards having clear skin!!!! I Shared somethings that I stated using and my skin care regimen (I will repost the links to those posts). I have changed my diet, consumed a lot more water and have seen some amazing results. It has been about 5 almost 6 months and I am excited that I no longer have to deal with breakouts (I do get a break out here and there, but it is not anywhere as bad as it was before), I feel more confident with my skin when I wake up in the morning and I feel even more confident with out make up.

It feels good when people recognize how clear my skin is, and really has boosted my self esteem and confidence as a model. Being in front of people is hard enough sometimes... People have asked me what my secret is... and to be honest, I don't have a "secret". The best advice that I can give to anyone that is dealing with issues with their skin and has sensitive skin or acne, is find what works best for your skin! Not everyone's skin is the same, and not everything works for everybody. for example for me, I found that more natural products work for me and I can't just use any type of face wash or cleanser on my skin. Masks and scrubs are the best, especially during weeks when I wear a lot of make up ( I don't wear make up everyday for the most part). I started making my own masks and scrubs and I love how soft and smooth it makes my skin look and feel. Another piece of advice I would give is, Be Consistent!!! You won't see results if you just wash your face sometimes, or don't give your skin the attention that it needs. remember that nothing happens over night and that it will take time to see results.

I have come a long way and I know that I will have to continue to keep up what I have started. I want people to know that it is possible to have beautiful skin, it does take some work, but everyone can have beautiful skin and be free of breakouts!!!!

Here are some photos of before/after and progress...

Before....

during fashion shows and photo shoots.... my skin looked like this!!
About 2 months in to my new skin care routine....

I started using Vitamin E... which did wonders for my skin!!

Now/ more recent... my skin is a lot smoother and has a healthy glow :)

Don't be afraid to try a new skin routine, you never know how things will end up!! :)

Here are the first two posts about the start of my journey

Skin Care Part 2!!!!

So I did a post a couple of weeks ago about my skin, how I have had Acne for years, and I have recently found products that have worked well for me and my skin is so much clearer now! It is truly an exciting feeling for me that I have been able to Finally have clear skin and not have to worry so much about so many break outs.

I have something else to add that I just started doing about a week ago.... How it started, was me and a fellow blogger were talking at an event recently about makeup, which lead in to skin care. We talked about different things that we have used and have tried, and there were a lot of similarities, and she also told me about a friend of her's that had the same issue as me and she used Vitamin E gel on her Face. I was very interested to see how it would work for my self. She told me about a gel, but I remembered that I had Vitamin E gel Capsules, and wondered if it would do the same....

I cut open a Capsule one night (after my daily cleansing routine) and rubbed the gel all over my face before going to sleep. It is pretty thick stuff FYI... After the first couple of days I noticed that my skin was getting smoother, and that the little bumps that I had were going away. I got really excited and I have been using it for over a week now....

These are the soft gels that I used. I purchased them from Target.

Here's what my skin looks like after almost a week of using Vitamin E.... I do have on a little make up (Powder and blush, but that is it... Oh yea and I did my eyebrows), other then that I broke out a tiny bit on my Forehead, but you can see that my skin is smoothing out.

I hope that others try Vitamin E on their skin as well, and let me know how it works for them! :D
