San Diego Fashion Week!!!!

So this is a new week and Last week was San Diego Fashion Week!!!! As you may or may not know this was my first year being in SD fashion week.... I really feel like it was a long time coming for me to be able to be a model in the show and this year if finally happen and I was super excited in the beginning... It was definitely a whirlwind of a week!!! I walked in 3 out of the 5 days (Designers: Norma Hill, Noia, Bjashi, and Dulce Alexandra)  and attended the shows that I wasn't in. Crazy week!!!

Here's some fun from all of the days and Of Course behind the scenes....

Hair and make up was interesting and different every night!!!!! The First night of fashion week was all about Bellus Academy and a look in to the creatives behind the looks and what is popular right now with Hair, make up and Nails. It was interesting to see the looks come down the runway.

I got to walk in the Finale dress of the whole show!!! It was an exciting moment of the night for me!! 

Saturday Night had a little bit of Controversy with the Painted models, who were painted in ALL BLACK! it was both shocking and offensive. In African American culture "Black Face" was something that was degrading because it would make fun of Black people and Mock them and is something that is known in History... I know that History is in the the past, but somethings just touch people and don't want to be reminded or hurt by it in the Present. There has been a lot of discussion thru Social Media, and many people are wondering the meaning behind the designers vision... There have been a lot of questions and concerns, and I hope that things are cleared up soon. 

On Sunday there was a Trunk and awards show!!! There was opportunity to shop the looks that were shown on the runway and there were awards given to top designer, top model and people behind the scenes at the show this year.

Overall it was a pretty ok week I can't Complain... I wish I was able to walk for more designers, but you know models don't get a say, so it is what it is... 

I'm glad I was able to have this experience. San Diego isn't known for fashion, but fashion is here and it is exciting be part of the industry here!!! 

Next is LA Fashion Week!!! I can't wait.... See you on the Runway!!!

Vixen/ Most Stylish Man!!!!!

Vixen Pop up Boutique and Fashion show is hosting it's 2nd Annual Stylish Man competition in San Diego. Everyone was able to nominate a man that they think is most stylish and we will find out who that person is at the event on April 9th!!! There will be local vendors to shop from as well as a fashion show. I will be in the Fashion show, and it should be a lot of fun :)

Fall in Love With Fashion!!!!

Over the weekend I was in a fashion show called, "Fall in Love With Fashion". It was a Charity event that raised money and awareness to Children's Cancer. The venue was Venga Venga, which is a Mexican Restaurant and Bar that is at the Otay Mall in Chula Vista. There were both Local Designers and Local boutiques who showed in the show, which were Noia, Isabel Vianey, OoH Fashionista, and Moett. People that came to the show were able to shop and see the designs during the Runway show.

Vixen pop up boutique at Bamboo Lounge!!!

Last night I was in the fashion show for Vixen Pop up Boutique. They have an event once a month to show off local vendors, that you can shop from while you are at the event :). In the fashion show we wore clothing from 5 different boutiques (Ooh Fashionista, M boutique, Street Chic, G St. Gypsy and a line of t-shirts (I didn't get the name :/)) There was also an accessory line called Livre' Accessories, and we wore their head pieces (I loved them!!).

Vixen Pop boutique and fashion show!!!!

Tomorrow I will be walking in the Vixen Pop Up Boutique Fashion Show. Vixen has events once a month, where you can shop and see what different local designers and boutiques have to offer in the San Diego area. The events are always in a different location, and they are always fun to attend!!!!

Tomorrow's event will be hosted by local bloggers Heidi (A Fashion Statement) and Vanessa Balli (OOTD). There is also a contest for the best # hash tag for the event!!! Follow Vixen Pop Up Boutique & Fashion Show on Instagram and use #newyearnewhashtag!! Of course I will be taking lots of photos behind the scenes with all of the models before the show, and I will have a post on that later :)
