San Diego Fashion Week!!!!

So this is a new week and Last week was San Diego Fashion Week!!!! As you may or may not know this was my first year being in SD fashion week.... I really feel like it was a long time coming for me to be able to be a model in the show and this year if finally happen and I was super excited in the beginning... It was definitely a whirlwind of a week!!! I walked in 3 out of the 5 days (Designers: Norma Hill, Noia, Bjashi, and Dulce Alexandra)  and attended the shows that I wasn't in. Crazy week!!!

Here's some fun from all of the days and Of Course behind the scenes....

Hair and make up was interesting and different every night!!!!! The First night of fashion week was all about Bellus Academy and a look in to the creatives behind the looks and what is popular right now with Hair, make up and Nails. It was interesting to see the looks come down the runway.

I got to walk in the Finale dress of the whole show!!! It was an exciting moment of the night for me!! 

Saturday Night had a little bit of Controversy with the Painted models, who were painted in ALL BLACK! it was both shocking and offensive. In African American culture "Black Face" was something that was degrading because it would make fun of Black people and Mock them and is something that is known in History... I know that History is in the the past, but somethings just touch people and don't want to be reminded or hurt by it in the Present. There has been a lot of discussion thru Social Media, and many people are wondering the meaning behind the designers vision... There have been a lot of questions and concerns, and I hope that things are cleared up soon. 

On Sunday there was a Trunk and awards show!!! There was opportunity to shop the looks that were shown on the runway and there were awards given to top designer, top model and people behind the scenes at the show this year.

Overall it was a pretty ok week I can't Complain... I wish I was able to walk for more designers, but you know models don't get a say, so it is what it is... 

I'm glad I was able to have this experience. San Diego isn't known for fashion, but fashion is here and it is exciting be part of the industry here!!! 

Next is LA Fashion Week!!! I can't wait.... See you on the Runway!!!
