San Diego Fashion Week!!!!

So this is a new week and Last week was San Diego Fashion Week!!!! As you may or may not know this was my first year being in SD fashion week.... I really feel like it was a long time coming for me to be able to be a model in the show and this year if finally happen and I was super excited in the beginning... It was definitely a whirlwind of a week!!! I walked in 3 out of the 5 days (Designers: Norma Hill, Noia, Bjashi, and Dulce Alexandra)  and attended the shows that I wasn't in. Crazy week!!!

Here's some fun from all of the days and Of Course behind the scenes....

Hair and make up was interesting and different every night!!!!! The First night of fashion week was all about Bellus Academy and a look in to the creatives behind the looks and what is popular right now with Hair, make up and Nails. It was interesting to see the looks come down the runway.

I got to walk in the Finale dress of the whole show!!! It was an exciting moment of the night for me!! 

Saturday Night had a little bit of Controversy with the Painted models, who were painted in ALL BLACK! it was both shocking and offensive. In African American culture "Black Face" was something that was degrading because it would make fun of Black people and Mock them and is something that is known in History... I know that History is in the the past, but somethings just touch people and don't want to be reminded or hurt by it in the Present. There has been a lot of discussion thru Social Media, and many people are wondering the meaning behind the designers vision... There have been a lot of questions and concerns, and I hope that things are cleared up soon. 

On Sunday there was a Trunk and awards show!!! There was opportunity to shop the looks that were shown on the runway and there were awards given to top designer, top model and people behind the scenes at the show this year.

Overall it was a pretty ok week I can't Complain... I wish I was able to walk for more designers, but you know models don't get a say, so it is what it is... 

I'm glad I was able to have this experience. San Diego isn't known for fashion, but fashion is here and it is exciting be part of the industry here!!! 

Next is LA Fashion Week!!! I can't wait.... See you on the Runway!!!

Fashion Week San Diego 2014!!!!!!

I have an exciting Announcement!!!!! I will be in Fashion Week San Diego this year in October! FINALLY!!! For those who don't know I have went to castings for the past 2 Seasons and didn't get in, but this year I had the opportunity to do an event for Fashion Week before the castings and they thought I would be a great addition to their Model line up and asked me if I wanted to be part of the shows this year. I was beyond thrilled and of course I said YES!!!! I am from San Diego, and I love doing big events in my city.

The Shows will be from Sept. 29th - Oct. 5th!!!! Check out Fashionweeksd.com for info on tickets and other information. This will be an event that you don't want to miss!!!!

Brunch with The San Diego Style Bloggers!!!!

Part of what I love about being a Blogger, is being able to connect with others that have similar interests!!! On Sunday the San Diego Style Bloggers had a Meet up at the W Hotel in Down town San Diego on the Roof top. The event was put together with Fashion Week San Diego, where we were able to get a peek at a couple of designers who are going to be part of the shows in October!! It was fun getting to see everyone that I haven't seen in a while and connect with new bloggers in the area as well.

Another fun part was the FOOD!!! There was a great variety of tasty treats and cocktails that were all amazing and I couldn't help but try everything and get seconds!!!

Of course we took lots of pictures!!!! it wouldn't be a Blogger Meetup with out Photos!!!

Neon Nights at Harrah's with Fashion Week San Diego!!!!

Last weekend on Friday I was in the Neon Nights fashion show with Fashion Week San Diego at Harrah's Resort. Let me tell you... Harrah's is in the Boonies in the middle of nowhere, I had know idea (haha). Any way besides all of that, the show was a lot of fun!! There was a Neon theme, so we had dramatic neon makeup, which glowed in the dark. The fashion show showcased the Swimsuit designers that are showing in Fashion Week San Diego this year. I walked for Noia, and she showed her new collection of the season.

There was a big pool party after the show, but I wasn't able to stay.... I'm glad I was able to be part of this show and I look forward to doing more with FWSD!!! :)

Neon Nights at Harrah's Resort!!!!

Just wanted to do a quick post!!!! I posted a previous post about some shows that I have coming up, and there is a show that I am in Tomorrow Called Neon Nights, which is a kick off fashion show with Fashion Week San Diego. The show will be showcasing some of the swim wear/ Bikini designers that will be showing in Fashion week this year. I am walking for Noia. I love working with her and I am really excited about walking in this show.

The show is going to be at Harrah's Resort, and there is going to be a night time Pool party after.

Super Bowl Sunday!!!! Fun football fashion!!!

On Friday I was part of a fashion segment on The CW that was all about football fashion for Today's big game!!! The segment talked about how you can be cute, stylish, but still comfortable at a Super Bowl Party!
