Upcoming February and March Events!!!

I always try to share events that I am going to and that I am part of!!! :) Here are a couple of Upcoming February and March Events!!! I will share more as they come up :).

Saturday February 14th Valentines Day I will be in A Fashion show, which is Part of Kuumba Fest!!!

Time: 6-8pm        Location: Lyceum Theater (Downtown San Diego)

Pre-Sale Tickets: 12$   Door price: 15$

Exhibit Ambush is having a Pop up event featuring Fashion, Music and Art from different Local designers and Artists. The Theme this year is to use Recycled Materials and Food items in their designs. Should be interesting to see!! All of the Ticket Sales go to Hidden Treasures, Which is a Charity Fighting against Human Trafficking.

Art Essence : Captivate Cirque De L'artisan!!!!!!!

Over the weekend I was in a fashion show with a New production group in San Diego called Art Essence and their first show was Circus theme. It was more than just a fashion show... There was art, Circus performers, dancers, and it felt like a huge party!! The casting happened for the show before the end of 2013, and there were a million rehearsals from there until the day of the show. The Designers were both local and from other cities (New York and Los Angeles), which was very exciting, because I love working with new people!!

The Day of the show was busy... show prep is always a lot of Hurry up and Wait... but, it is always fun being able to catch up with everyone :)

I had 6 looks in the show.... back stage was very hectic, and I felt like I had ran a marathon at the end of the show. Altogether I felt like the show was good, on the production side I think that it was a learning experience for everyone, and it will only get better! As a model, I feel like the production team needs better communication with each other (be on the same page), and then communicate that to the models... especially on the day of the show.... there were quite a few different directions that were said and models did something different, because that's what they were told from somebody else (minor issue). It was very confusing!!! 

All in all it was a fun experience, and I can't wait to work with everyone again at the next show!!! :)

Exhibit Ambush Show!!!!

This past weekend I walked in a show called Exhibit Ambush here in San Diego, Ca. Exhibit Ambush was held at the Port Pavilion event space in Downtown, and is a show for Artist that think outside of the box. There were many local artist that displayed their art, there was a dance performance and poetry performances, as well as a Fashion Show.

The designers designed Avant Garde pieces, and the collection that I walked for designed her looks out of Garbage Bags. It was really cool and interesting to wear. Another designer designed her looks out of Cardboard and another one had a Bird theme, so there were lots of feathers. It was exciting to see all the looks come together, and I know that everyone worked so hard to help make this show a big success. There was so much to see all in one show, and I enjoyed being  able to be part of it :)

Exhibit Ambush Phase 2!!!

There's an Exciting event coming up in October, called Exhibit Ambush Phase 2!! Exhibit Ambush is a show filled with Local art, Fashion, Music and other kinds of artist... You will get Ambushed with so much amazing talent all in one place! I was in the show the first year, and it was a lot of fun, and I know that this year will be even BIGGER than the last one... You should come and check it out :) The show is not just about all of the talent involved, it is about Charity and giving back as well. All of the proceeds from the show will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation to help with Breast Cancer research.

The show date is October 19th at the Port Pavilion in San Diego...
